Chapter 5: The Towspeople's Uproar

In the morning at a market, the City of Burgh, traders are busy offering their wares. Buyers roam here and there looking for the items they need. Some traders and buyers are seen bargaining. However, this morning was unusual, the residents were crowding in front of the information boards. There is clearly a letter. The letter was bloody, stained with human blood, a sign that some major incident had occurred. A black-haired youth was seen walking around the crowd. This young man was wearing civilian clothes that were usually worn by civilians in general. When he sees the crowd, the young man immediately asks an old man.

"Sir, what's going on, why are the residents crowding in?"

"Hey, kid. Don't you know? Great news this morning. A blood letter has been posted on the information board." Answer Old Man.

"A blood letter? What's in it, sir?" Ask the young man in surprise.

"This is terrible. It is explained that the Princess of Blood has killed Baron Porco and his followers." Answer Old Man.

"Baron Porco was killed? When? Why was he killed?" Ask the young man anxiously.

"The letter explained that the incident happened last night, Princess Blood broke into Baron Porco's headquarters, she massacred the Baron and his followers. It was also explained that Princess Blood killed him because the Baron committed an unforgivable sin."

"A grave sin? What sin is it, sir?"

"Well, in the letter Princess Blood said that the Baron and his followers were a group of heretical cultists. The Baron was known to have kidnapped urban children and turned them into .."

"As what, sir?" Ask the young man in surprise.

"This is really terrible, the Baron turns out to make small children sacrifices for the gods."

"What?! Uwek.." The young man was shocked and almost vomited his breakfast.

"Hey, aren't you okay kid? Your face looks pale."

"I'm fine, sir. Thank you for the information, sir."

The young man immediately says goodbye and leaves the old man. Across the crowd, he hears residents talking to each other about the blood letter incident.

"This is really terrible. Baron Porco has been killed."

"Hey, isn't that good news? That fat man has always been greedy and arrogant. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some grave sins hidden."

"Brother, do you support this assassination? Baron is royalty after all you know."

"Support it or not, what's clear is that the fat man is dead. After all, I also never liked that arrogant man from the start. But this is truly terrible, he is truly a 'demon' to the point of sacrificing children as sacrifices to the gods. Poor kids!"

"This is terrible. Poor children."

"In my opinion, that Baron deserves punishment from the Princess of Blood."

"Hey, don't be kidding. The Princess of Blood is a fugitive, you know. Be careful when you speak. If there's a guarding knight here, you will definitely be caught."

"To hell with knights! Even they can't punish heinous criminals. They don't deserve to talk about justice."

"I don't mind Princess Blood killing the criminals. After all, Princess Blood only targets criminals, especially those with white collars."

"You're also supporting that Princess of Blood. She's a murderer after all. No! Maybe she's a demon disguised as a human. There's no guarantee she won't harm society."

"Hey, don't insult Princess Blood. She is a thousand times better than you who can only talk nonsense without doing anything."

"What are you saying!"

"Hey, relax guys. Don't fight!"

The young man sees the chaos caused by the blood letter incident. Since he doesn't want to get involved any further, he immediately leaves the scene.

In an office, the centre of the city's guardian knights...
A while later, in the knight's office. A young man is seen entering the room. He knocks on the door to ask permission before walking into a room.

"Enter!" A black-haired man with a stocky body was seen sitting in a room. In front of him was a table with scattered papers. That man was Arthur, Commander of the City Security Guard.

"Excuse me, Sir." A young man was seen appearing. He was still wearing civilian clothes, not looking like a knight.

"Lancelot, is there something you'd like to tell me?" Arthur asks his men.

"Sir, I have just returned from reconnaissance. I found blood letters found on an information board in a market near a residential area." Lancelot answers.

"A blood letter huh? What's in it?" Ask the Commander.

"This is about the notice of the murder of Baron Porco by the Princess of Blood, sir." Lancelot answers briefly.

"Is that so, the Princess of Blood already sent blood letters to the people huh? Damn it! We're late."

"Sir, do you think we need to deal with those citizens? I see they are busy talking about this incident."

"There's no need! We can't cover up this incident any longer. Any further action by the knights will only make the Blood Princess' reputation rise in the eyes of society."

"But sir, the residents are also busy gossiping about the knights."

"In fact, if we go further, we will be accused of conspiring with Baron Porco. Don't act arbitrarily. This is an order! Do you understand?!"

"Yes sir. I understand."

"Shit! The Blood Princess is getting too outrageous. If only we could catch her."

"I think if we put all our troops into scouting the city, maybe we can catch the Blood Princess, sir."

"How many times do you think I've tried to catch that 'villain'? That Princess of Blood can always escape the traps we set up. She's so slippery. She's so cunning."

"Then what shall we do, sir?"

"Hmm. Let me think for a moment." The commander interlocks his fingers and rests his head on his interlocked palms. He was thinking.

"Lancelot, for the next week. Increase the number of scouts. Put them in every corner of the city. We have to keep an eye on every corner of the city. Watch for any suspicious movements. If needed, arrest suspicious people." Commander's order to Lancelot.

"Okay, sir. I'm ready to carry out." Lancelot answers obediently.

Moments later, Lancelot left the room, leaving the Commander alone in the room. The commander mutters to himself.

"Princess of Blood, you're embarrassing my face again."

"This time you can escape. But next time I will catch you for sure."

"I won't let you do as you, please. Let's see who wins in the end."

"I swear I will catch you. Hahaha.." The commander laughs sarcastically. Immediately the atmosphere in the room became tense.
